Radio 101 - Rusk County ESD #1

An enhanced course designated to train our first responders on the new radio system and guidelines.

Topics covered will include:

1.  A brief history of our communications infrastructure.
2.  The implementation and status of our portion of the TxWARN regional radio system.
3.  Implementation of Communication Protocols and training on radio etiquette.
4.  A detailed summary of using ESD handheld and mobile radios.
5.  Discussion of programming change requests and update of handhelds brought to facility
6.  Dispatch changes and simulated large scale response.

This course will begin on 9 AM each day it is provided and is expected to be roughly three hours. 

This course will be mandatory for all first responders assigned a Rusk County ESD #1 radio.
